Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong has released more details about a woman charged with attempted murder, after stabbing two men and a dog last Friday. 24-year old Melisa Nunez got into an argument with a man at her apartment on Woodside Drive and stabbed him on the side of the head. Another man who was not at the scene when deputies got there, called the sheriff hours later to report he had also been stabbed, in the shoulder. Both men were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. A dog in the apartment was also stabbed and taken to a veterinarian who determined injuries were too severe to save it; the dog was euthanized. Nunez is charged with attempted murder, felony battery with a deadly weapon, arson, killing an animal, domestic battery and mayhem, and two counts of destruction of property.
