Jobs in Nevada grew by 3,500 last month, and the state is now enjoying record high employment, with nearly 1.4 million people working. Governor Sandoval says Nevada continues to experience a health labor market and an upward trend in other measures. The Department of Employment and Training says personal income was up 6.4% in March to 136 billion dollars. Nevada’s unemployment rate has been steady since August 2017, at 4.9%. New unemployment claims were also down compared February, and of March 2017.
