GOP Candidate Sharron Angle Fighting Violations of Student Privacy

GOP Congressional candidate Sharron Angle says students in Nevada are being data mined through Computer Adaptive Testing, and most parents don’t even know it’s happening. She says Congressman Mark Amodei has voted for this over and over again. Angle says students in Nevada, under the false premise of testing knowledge, are in fact giving up a massive amount of personal information that will follow them forever. Some of the information Congressman Amodei voted for your child to surrender in Computerized Adaptive Testing are: which political party are your parents in? Is there a gun in your house? Are you or your parents on medications?  Angle and others say there is also a great deal of completely subjective information being collected that has no place in a students academic record. She’s challenged District 2 Congressman Amodei to debate these issues.
