Senator Catherine Cortez Masto responded to Dr. Ronny Jackson’s withdrawal as the nominee to lead the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. Cortez Masto says, the President of the United States nominated an individual for VA Secretary that reportedly drunkenly crashed a government-owned vehicle; to steer one of the biggest federal agencies that serves our veterans. Cortez Masto adds, she supported Secretary Shulkin for his commitment to improve access to health care and to put veterans first. She calls the nomination of an inexperienced and clearly ethically compromised nominee is a slap in the face to veterans in Nevada.
