Governor Sandoval is giving teachers more time to complete a state mandated college course on “Family Engagement.” It’s part of a 2015 law, but it’s now being seen as another hurdle to maintaining a teaching license in a state that already has too few teachers. Teachers are getting two more years to complete the course, at their own expense. The course requires a full semester of college to complete.
