Convicted murderer Darren Mack he wants a new trial. Darren Mack’s lawyer has filed a “rehearing petition” in the Nevada Supreme Court, in hopes of winning a new trial. Mack, a local pawn shop operator, was convicted for the 2006 murder of his estranged wife, Charla, and for firing shots through the window of a Reno Courthouse, in an attempt to kill the judge who was handling their divorce case. Judge Chuck Weller suffered minor injuries. Mack fled to Mexico and was extradited to Nevada, where he confessed to the crime. Mack was sentenced to life in prison.
