The Reno Arch Will Turn Blue Tonight For The Start of National Law Enforcement Memorial Month

Reno Police Department, City of Reno officials, other Northern Nevada Law Enforcement agencies, and surviving family members of officers who have been killed in the line of duty will gather tonight downtown, as the city turns the Reno arch blue for May which is National Law Enforcement Memorial Month. RPD’s Tim Broadway talks about the event tonight.

Project Blue light started in 1988 by the mother-in-law of a Philadelphia Police Officer killed in the line of duty. She put blue lights in her window to honor his memory. If you’d like to attend the arch lighting, it starts at 7pm.
