The victim in the May 7th shooting incident has been identified as 34 year old Joseph Mitchell Jarratt of Dayton. He was shot in a shopping center parking lot on Pine Cone Road in Dayton. Deputies found Jarratt with multiple gunshot wounds and rendered immediate first aid. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Anyone who may have witnessed what happened last night or has any information about this case are asked to call the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office. Two are now in custody in connection with the crime, 17 year old Malik Avila, and a younger juvenile suspect. A third teenager, Jonathan Ortiz of Carson City is also being sought in the case, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. Investigators say the shooting is the result of a drug deal.
