Fallon Police have arrested a 30-year-old man for child pornography and sexual assault. Detectives acted on a lead from an undercover agent of the FBI Washington Field Office, Human Trafficking Task Force. They arrested Richard Edward Alexander, who is being held on in lieu of $210,000 bail. Police say additional charges may be filed as the investigation develops. Based on the “credible and fresh information provided by the undercover agent,” Fallon detectives secured search warrants for Alexander’s home, vehicle, and storage locker. The search warrants were served with the assistance of an FBI agent and a Washoe County Sheriff’s Office detective assigned to the Northern Nevada Cyber Center, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Police say evidence that was seized corroborated the intelligence provided by the undercover agent.
