Sparks Police Arrest Stabbing Suspect

Sparks Police have arrested a man for a stabbing Wednesday morning. About 3:30AM officers responded to a 9-1-1 call from a home in the 3000 block of Bunker Hill Lane. The caller told dispatch he had been stabbed multiple times. Officers found the victim on the floor with stab wounds to the front and rear of his upper and lower body. Paramedics took him to a hospital, where he underwent surgery and is recovering with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect, Michael Tom, ran from the home as officers arrived, but he was caught several blocks away. Police recovered the knife used in the stabbing. They say the attack appears to have been unprovoked.
