A convicted felony child abuser has drawn a sentence of 20 years in prison. 30 year old Lashae Gallon of Reno will serve at least 8 years before she’s eligible for parole. The case stems from a December 2015 incident that left a 23 month old baby with permanent brain damage. She claimed the child fell out of a crib, and suffered a minor injury, but the child was rushed to the hospital the next day after suffering a seizure. Medical tests showed a significant “Brain bleed,” which required emergency surgery to save the child’s life. Doctors testified the injury was consistent with abusive head trauma.
