Overnight lane closures are now in effect on Interstate 80 west of Reno as the Nevada Department of Transportation embarks on a $42 million multi-year project to repave the interstate. This will go on through late next year, and drivers will see road work heading both directions from Keystone Avenue west to the state line overnight. Besides repavement, the construction includes Wrong Way signs on all interstate ramps, flashing warning signals, detection systems, widened and lengthened shoulders and merge lanes. Drivers should expect single lane traffic.
