A Dayton man has was sentenced to 6 and a half years in federal prison for receiving photos and videos of child pornography. 48-year-old Monte Chaix pleaded guilty February 20 to one count of receipt of child pornography. Besides the prison term, he will be subject to lifetime supervised release, and must register as a sex offender. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip from Twitter about a user posting possible child pornography. Task Force officers from the Northern Nevada Online Child Exploitation Task Force identified the user as Chaix and searched his home. Investigators seized electronic devices and revealed about 700 images and 150 videos of children being sexually abused by adults.
