Tahoe Douglas Fire says a boil water order has been issued for the Cave Rock area. Douglas County Public Works says a computer crash is responsible for the order, saying there is no change in quality of water or a breach in system, but the crash means they can’t record the data collected at the treatment sites. Therefore, this is more of a precaution until the data can be collected again. The order is in effect in Cave Rock, Skyland, Uppaway Estates, and Zephyr Cove, and estimated to last through Monday.
