Reno Police have arrested 58-year-old Sergio Amones for sexual assault. The assault was reported in March by a woman who is now 21. She says she had been sexually assaulted multiple times between the ages of 12 and 16. She said that sometime around 2009, she was introduced to Sergio Amones through a mutual friend. She says Amones began providing her with money, marijuana and rides. Police say Amones continued this “grooming” behavior, which eventually evolved to sexually assaulting her on more than one occasion. Police say Amones was tracked and contacted Wednesday, and admitted to the crimes. Reno Police say they believe there may be more victims.
