Cancer Society’s “Big Dig” is Saturday June 2 in Reno

American Cancer Society’s “Reno Big Dig,” offers children of all ages the chance to get on a big rig and drive heavy equipment. Participants can drive and ride dozers, graders, backhoes, loaders, excavators, dump trucks and more. The event also allows children to explore static exhibits from the Sheriff’s Department, REMSA, US Forest Service and more. Special appearances by Wolf Pack mascot, Alphie, Archie and Truckee of the Aces and Reno 1868 and Smokey the Bear are fan favorites at the annual event. All proceeds from the event are donated to the American Cancer Society for local patient services and cancer research. It’s Saturday June 2, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm at Rilite Aggregate, 9208 Western Skies Dr. in Reno. Admission to the event is $100 for one adult and one child. Tickets include lunch and a youth t-shirt.
