A security guard says he was forced to shoot a man armed with a rifle-type firearm who exited a car in a Sparks nightclub parking lot. According to police, Carlos Leyva had aimed the gun at another man, who was unarmed, walking through the parking lot, as well as at the security guard. The security guard fired his gun several times at Leyva, hitting him once in his leg. Leyva was taken to a hospital for treatment and released Wednesday, and then arrested for two counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon and for being Ex-Felon in possession of a firearm.
