Heller Praises Cancellation of August Recess

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says the Senate will skip much of its treasured August recess, to press ahead confirming the President’s nominees and passing government spending bills.
With the move, McConnell is pushing off a potentially costly conflict with Trump who wants the Senate to stay and work and isn’t afraid to say it. Nevada Senator Dean Heller, praised the move, he’s been pushing hard to stay in session, and even work nights and weekends to get more conservative judges confirmed. Heller tweeted, we shouldn’t go home until the job is done.
