A plan to develop 78 lots for a housing project has been voted down by the Reno City Council. The project would include one acre lots and single family homes southeast of the intersection of Garson road and Blue Heron circle near Boomtown. The developer say the project will help with the region’s housing shortage. People against the proposal worry the project will have a negative impact on their water wells and quality of life. The proposal now goes back to the Reno Planning Commission.
