There will be a Red, White and Tahoe Blue Celebration at Incline Village this year, and it will include a fireworks show. This followed a previous permit denial, after Washoe County decided the paperwork wasn’t sufficient, amid some mistakes by the new organizers. But commissioners like Bob Lucey say the paperwork is getting in order, and the event is too important to locals and to tourism, to let it lapse.
Tahoe tourism officials thanked commissioners for supporting the event, despite some of the issues, saying the fireworks show is an important economic driver that attracts the visitors.
