The Urban Chamber of Commerce of Nevada announced its opposition to Question 3, considered by some to be a risky Constitutional Amendment on the November ballot, that would potentially leave Nevada consumers with higher electricity rates, a less reliable electricity system, and cost Nevada consumers and taxpayers billions. Nevada’s electrical system is one of the most affordable and reliable in the country. A report by the Nevada PUC says approving Question Three will mean higher electric bills for average Nevada consumers for at least the first decade of implementation.
