Sparks Fire Department rescue crews pulled a man from the Truckee River Tuesday afternoon. The call for help went out about 4:30PM at Cottonwood Park on Spice Island Drive. Crews were told a man was in distress in the water near an area used by the public to dive into the river.  The man was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
