Suspect Arrested After Fatal Carson City Crash

The Nevada Highway Patrol says a driver blamed for a January crash that killed a woman in Carson City has been arrested. NHP says the investigation indicates 32-year-old Omar Adan Oronia-Camacho, the driver of a Ford F150 pickup, was headed north on South Carson Street approaching the intersection. He ran a red light, hitting the driver’s side of a Buick Lesabre, whose driver was preparing to go across South Carson Street. The driver and passenger of the Buick were taken by Care Flight to a hospital in Reno. The driver, 81-year-old Rosemary Frenzel Stroup of Carson City, died from her injuries. The passenger was treated and released. The charges, are reckless driving, failure to obey a traffic control device, and driving without a valid license.
