Brush Fire Sparked by Cigarette at Galletti & Kietzke

Investigators believe a brush fire that broke out at Galletti Way and Kietzke Lane in Sparks was sparked by a cigarette. Crews with the Reno Fire Department knocked down the fire shortly after 10AM Wednesday. The Battalion Chief says investigators determined the fire was not arson, and that a person who was questioned on scene revealed they had discarded a cigarette improperly, sparking the fire. He was issued a citation. The fire was contained to about 11-hundred square feet.
