Looking For a Good Fishing Spot? Try The East Walker River

If you’re looking for a good place to fish, try the East Walker River. It was just stocked by the Nevada Department of Wildlife. NDOW stocked the river with 15,000 rainbow and 15,000 brown trout at the Rafter 7 property and above the Flying M property. Browns were 3-4 inches and rainbows were 5-6 inches, but given the current and forecasted river conditions they should grow quickly and provide some great new opportunities this fall. The river upstream from the Flying M at the Pine Grove Bridge is open to all. The river is also accessible at Rafter 7. Just park at the East Walker Road Bridge and walk up river. The property downstream from that bridge is private and not open to the public.
