If you like beer, then you’ll love what Northstar California Resort is up to this weekend. It’s the 12th annual Beerfest & Bluegrass festival in the resort’s village, and features more than 40 breweries. The resort is opening the event up to kids this year, with children’s activities and they can even sample some sodas. The event kicks off this afternoon (Friday) at 4pm with the 1st ever Northstar Beer Run, a 5 or 10k race where you get to try beer samples at three pit stops, and get a ticket for Beer Sampling the next day.

The Biggest Little City Wing Fest returns to downtown Reno today, with more than 20,000 pounds of chicken wings. There will be plenty of free live entertainment on outdoor stages, shopping booths and more. Wing Fest runs through Saturday.
