Man Arrested After Chase With Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Deputies

Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man Tuesday after a chase on Sun Valley Boulevard and Highland Ranch Parkway. The incident started as deputies were investigating a report of “shots fired” in the area of Chimney and Leon Drives when they were approached by a dark Toyota Tundra. Deputies tried to stop that driver but he sped off. Deputies chased the Tundra and found it crashed into a guard rail near the intersection of Sun Valley Boulevard and Highland Ranch Parkway; the driver had run off. It was stolen. The Sheriff’s Office K9 tracked the “combative” suspect, and 33-year-old Jason Crisp was arrested shortly after midnight Tuesday morning. Crisp is being booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility as a fugitive from justice, with an outstanding warrant from California, and a variety of other charges.
