Nevada’s job market continues to expand with no signs of slowing down, and Governor Sandoval is jubilant as unemployment rates continue to fall. According to the Nevada Department of Employment and Training, June marked the 90th straight month of job growth. An economic report showed an increase of 2.8 percent job growth and an unemployment rate decrease of 0.1 percent to 4.7 percent. The Governor says “With 2,000 jobs added in June, Nevada continues to experience an ongoing healthy labor market and maintains improvement through the second quarter of 2018.” Unemployment topped 14% in 2011. The Governor adds, “As we enjoy these positive trends, we should remain vigilant in continuing our efforts to ensure the Silver State’s economic success.” Over the last year, Nevada added 37,600 jobs.
