Red Cross Volunteers From Northern Nevada Headed to The Owyhee Area

Red Cross volunteers from both the Northern Nevada and Northern Utah Chapters are providing emotional support and spiritual care to area residents who have been affected by the Owyhee Fire in northeastern Nevada. While the fire is 50 percent contained, and no evacuations are in place, area residents continue to use Red Cross services for help in coping with the fire, which has resulted in loss of power and water to affected homes. The Red Cross has expanded the range of services to include mental health and emotional support to both adults and children in the Owyhee area.
