Reno Fire Crews Knock Down Apartment Fire

The Reno Fire Department had an apartment fire on the 600 block of Grand Canyon Blvd out within minutes Monday morning. A man was injured in the blaze that started around 11:45 am, and torn through the two story building. Nick Perry, a tow truck driver, saw smoke and drove over the see if anyone needed help. He says the man inside had already been rescued when he arrived, so he went into the adjoining apartments to clear them before fire trucks arrived on scene.

The condition of the man who was transported to hospital is unknown at this time, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
