Red Cross Assistance Continues For Perry Fire Victims

Residents who live in the area affected by the Perry Fire can continue to pick up supplies such as comfort kits, face masks and eye drops at the Red Cross shelter located at the Ironwood Event Center at 5600 Whiskey Springs Road. The supplies are provided by the Red Cross to assist all area residents and are not limited to individuals staying at the shelter. Face masks have been donated by the Washoe County Health District and Renown Medical Center. Additional items that remain accessible to residents include comfort kits, eye drops, water, and cleanup kits containing cleaning supplies, mops and rubber gloves. Area residents affected by the fire can also obtain meals, sleeping accommodations and crisis counseling provided at the Red Cross shelter.  The Red Cross hotline number for shelter information continues in operation.
