Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a car theft that occurred Saturday afternoon in Sun Valley

Officials report the suspect, a male, refused to stop for a deputy and drove off shortly before 11 a.m.

He drove into a ditch in the 4900 block Rampion Way and escaped.

Officials called off the search by 1 p.m. but they are still investigating the case.

The man is described as white, skinny, wearing black shorts and a white tank top.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
