Another Tesla whistle blower is out with allegations against the company. The latest is that workers at the Northern Nevada battery factory had connections to a Mexican drug trafficking ring. Former internal security employee Karl Hansen also claims Tesla retaliated against Gigafactory workers who reported illegal activities, hacked into employees’ electronic devices, and ignored the theft of $37 million worth of raw materials from the factory. Tesla did not immediately comment. Hansen is retired from the U.S. Army’s Investigation Command according to his lawyer. He was fired in July.
