The Reno Police Department life saving award has been given to two officers this week, who saved a man who was attempting suicide by hanging. When Officers Elliot Goodrich and Anthony Sotello showed up at the incident in May of this year, they found the man suspended. One of them lifted the man up, and the other cut the rope. RPD’s Travis Warren says the officers deserve the award for going above and beyond the call of duty. The suicidal man ended up making a complete recovery.
