The federal government has a plan to store weapons grade plutonium at the Nevada National Security Site, and both Governor Brian Sandoval and Senator Dean Heller are pushing back. Heller says the government failed to meet construction deadlines on a site in South Carolina and says this shouldn’t move forward before considering the health, safety and environmental impacts on the state.
