Road Closures Near The Site of The Boot Fire

The wildfire burning along Highway 395 between Topaz and Bridgeport, California has shut down 395 until at least 6 a.m. today. The Boot Fire has burned about 3,000 acres in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. Evacuations remain in place for the Bootleg, Chris Flat and Sonora Bridge Campgrounds, plus the Leavitt Meadows Pack Station and Campground and the Marine Warfare Training Center.  Road closures now span US 395 beginning at Holbrook Junction (north of Topaz Lake) to Bridgeport, and CA SR 108 is closed from US 395 to the Tuolumne County line. Structures are threatened in the Burchum Flats area east of Walker Canyon, and Burchum Flats Road remains closed.
