Third Suspect in Galena Murder Arrested After Standoff in Reno

A standoff in northwest Reno ended last night with the surrender and arrest of the third and final suspect in a June 24th homicide. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office took 22-year-old Quentin Daniel Moore into custody on West Seventh Street. Moore is a suspect in the death of 20-year-old Paul Dobbins in the White Cedar Drive and Galena Meadows Road area. A second man who was also shot was treated and released. A Secret Witness tip led to the arrests July 13th of 22-year-old Jamil Geronimo and 21-year-old Tyler Hernandez in San Diego. Authorities closed West Seventh Street from Stoker Avenue to Elgin Avenue for more than an hour negotiating with Moore to surrender. He was taken into custody without incident. Geronimo is also charged with seven counts of assault with a deadly weapon and three counts of battery with a deadly weapon for another shooting the same morning at a bar on California Avenue. Nobody was seriously hurt in that shooting.
