Target Shooters Blamed for Two Fires, Now Contained

The Chimney Fire north of Sun Valley Regional Park is fully contained after growing to 184 acres. The fire was reported shortly after noon Thursday. Firefighters say the cause of this fire, was target shooting. No structures were threatened. The Duck Hill Fire, which also started Thursday, burned on the east side of Washoe Lake, west of Eastlake Boulevard. It burned just over 12 acres, and is fully contained. There were no reports of structures threatened. It was also caused by target shooters.
