Search For Missing Woman Continues After Her Vehicle is Found

The search continues for a missing woman whose car was found Friday on the Mount Rose Highway. Reno Police say 19-year-old Madelyn Lingenfelter was seen September 19th by an employee of the Tannenbaum event center along the Mount Rose Highway. The employee saw a person in the car at that time, but when the employee stepped back outside a few hours later, the person was no longer there. Police indicate the car, a 2004 Gold Toyota Prius, has apparently been there since last Wednesday. Lingenfelter is still missing. She is described as 5’1 and 110 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. Sunday, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office used the RAVEN helicopter with heat-detecting equipment and dogs to search.
