Suspect Arrested For Stabbing His Girlfriend

A man who was wanted for attacking his girlfriend has been taken into custody.

Early the morning of September 24, deputies responded to Ellis Peak in the Blackwood Canyon area off Lake Tahoe’s west shore. A woman said her boyfriend, 27-year-old Justin Moe of San Francisco, stabbed her with a knife while she was sleeping in her car. She woke up and fought him off, receiving superficial head injuries that did not require hospitalization. He then allegedly ran barefoot into the woods wearing a blanket with a “southwestern pattern.” She told investigators she had reason to believe he planned to kill her.

That night, Placer deputies with an off-road vehicle tracked and arrested Moe. Specific charges have not been announced.
