Mound House Man Sentenced After Threatening a Prosecutor

A Mound House man has been sentenced to 364 days in jail for threatening a prosecutor. The Washoe County District Attorney’s Office says the case against William Ramirez began in July, when the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into an explicit threat left on a voicemail system at the Lyon County District Attorney’s Office. The message contained a specific threat directed at a Lyon County Chief Deputy District Attorney. In the threat, the caller said he would blow off the DA’s head and kill his family.
