Four juveniles were taken into custody Saturday after attempting to escape from police in a stolen vehicle. The vehicle matched one used in a string of armed robberies over the weekend near the University of Nevada, Reno campus. There were at least three armed robberies near UNR and the victims gave a similar description of the vehicle. Police found a vehicle that matched the description, discovered it was stolen, and attempted to pull it over. The driver fled and police used spike strips at Liberty and Holcomb streets. There was a short foot chase and four juveniles were taken into custody. Police also recovered property taken from the robberies near UNR.
