The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, and other local Nevada law enforcement agencies, are ramping up for Nevada Day Weekend with a joining forces campaign on our roadways. If you’re planning on a night a out with friends and family, make sure you have a designated driver or take the bus, so you can get home safely. Authorities will be looking for impaired and distracted drivers, and those not yielding to pedestrians, beginning this Friday through November 4th. The goal of the campaign is to reduce the number of injury and fatal crashes in Northern Nevada. A similar campaign is planned December 18th through January 1st.
