The City of Reno, Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful and the Associated Students of the University of Nevada are looking for volunteers to help with a community cleanup this Saturday in the Valley Road area. The cleanup gets started with a meet up at Silver State Eatery at 17-71 Valley Road at 9am, and the cleanup goes until noon. Volunteers will pick up trash along the street and in neighborhood parks, like Dick Taylor Memorial Park, and when it’s over, Mari Chuy’s Mexican Kitchen at 764 S. Virginia Street is hosting a post-cleanup barbecue. If you go, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses are recommended. And, don’t forget a refillable water bottle.
