Couple’s Death Ruled a Homicide, Daughter Arrested

Sparks Police have arrested a woman after the deaths of her parents in a fire were ruled homicides by the Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office. 29-year-old Alexis Alegria has been charged with two counts of open murder in the deaths of 61-year-old Victor Alegria and 58-year-old Jami Alegria. Police say the investigation is on-going and they are not ready to release information about circumstances of the deaths.  When Sparks Fire crews arrived at the house October 11, it was fully engulfed. Crews were not able to get inside to investigate the house until the next day because of worries that it could collapse. Anyone with information about the investigation is asked to call Secret Witness at 322-4900.
