A Las Vegas doctor who illegally prescribed opioids will spend a year in prison. Horace Paul Guerra IV allowed a pair of co-conspirators at the Incera Medical Group to use his pre-signed prescription pad to issue hydrocodone and oxycodone to patients he didn’t treat or had a legitimate medical reason to use the drugs. Guerra pleaded guilty in July to one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and was ordered to surrender his medical license.
