A man is dead after a motel fire in Quincy, California. The Plumas county sheriff’s Office responded to the Pine Hill motel early Sunday morning. When deputies arrived they found two units fully engulfed in flames.  The fire spread to a spread to a wooded area behind the motel and moved quickly uphill but crews were able to stop it from spreading to other structures and contained it to about an acre. The name of the victim has not been released, the cause is under investigation.
