The suspect in an armed robbery in Carson City has been shot and killed by police in South Lake Tahoe. October 22nd, a robber pointed a handgun at an employee at Fruitilandia, a frozen yogurt shop on Highway 50 East. He demanded cash and ran off. Carson detectives identified 34-year-old Billy Jo Johnson as the suspect. Monday, Johnson was tracked by the South Lake Tahoe Police Department and killed in a confrontation with police. South Lake Tahoe Police have released no information about that incident and the investigation is ongoing.
