The Sparks Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a man who tried to cash a fraudulent check in west Sparks. The man tried to cash the check at the Rail City Casino on Victorian Avenue, using an identification card that belonged to a dead person, according to police. When casino security contacted him, he ran way. He is linked to an older red Toyota pickup with a white camper shell. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sparks Police or Secret Witness.
