The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District encourages residents to create defensible space and dispose of dry and dead vegetation, shrubs, tree branches, and other wildland fuels for free, at TMFPD’s Green Waste Collection Days this coming Saturday.  Fire Chief Charles Moore says despite the beautiful and cool autumn days, conditions are dry and the wildfire threat remains high. Saturday, November 10, 8am-1pm green waste can be dropped off at the Silver Lake Fire Station, 11-525 Red Rock Road, Stead and the Lemmon Valley Fire Station 130 Nectar Street.
